Part 1 of Problem of the Century

No spanking in this part, just an introduction but stay tuned for part 2

John Web was waiting for the judge's verdict, He had been misrepresenting his business's profits to the tax Office for the last 15 years and had finally been caught. Still he had made it appear to the court that the main person behind the swindle was his accountant and that he was only going along with the idea.

"All rise" cried the court usher as the judge returned from the recess. After the judge and the barristers had filed in the judge stood up to read out his verdict.

"John Webb You are hereby found guilty of Tax fraud to the order of seven hundred and fifteen thousand credits" the judge paused "I sentence you to 4 cycles of age 8 to 12 to be spent as Penitatas with the first cycle being hard time" and banged his gavel on the desk in front of him.

That in total was 16 years of punishment for the tax fraud supposing that he didn't get parole, in all likelihood the last cycle would be paroled and the second two would be spent as soft time but for the first 4 years he would be spending a large amount of time over his new parents knee being soundly punished for his crime.

An ordiay came and led John away towards the judicial rejuvenation chamber. John didn't resist at all the shock of the sentence having finally caught up with him

The chamber itself consisted of an operating theatre style bed with straps to restrain uncooperative convicts. Seven large Johnson crystals glowed a light green in their array and monitors were located in various places.

John was helped into the bed and given a hydrospray of something that turned out to be a light sedative, it relaxed all the muscles in his body ready for the rejuvenation although he was still conscious.

A technician was busy entering something into one of the terminals and a red light came on in the room. All the technicians left and the door was shut, The Jonson crystals glow intensified and there was a strange whining. The whining suddenly increased into an unbearable scream and the glow pulsed wildly, lights began to flash and a siren sounded just as there was a large explosion and flash of green light, followed by darkness as John blacked out.

The technicians outside the room were in the middle of what was a fairly standard judicial rejuve glad that this time the prisoner was mainly cooperating and would not need restraining when the normal whine of the crystals charging up was shattered by an ear-splitting shriek and a loud bang followed by the onerous blaring of the fire alarms. Andy the chief technician entered the chamber to find the wreckage of what was the Johnson array scattered about the room with shards of the pale green Johnson Crystal embedded in all the walls. Evidently one of the crystals had a slight flaw and had failed critically shattering the crystal into thousands of pieces.

Turning his eye to John still lying on the bed and seeing the blood of a dozen or so shards embedded in his body, some in his arms where he had thrown them up to protect his face. Andy grabbed a scanner and ran a full systems check on john. He was still alive but not for too long, he would defiantly need an urgent rejuve to save him, without which he only had a couple of hours to live.

The main rejuvanator in the court was obviously out of action and would be that way for weeks while the failure was investigated and the machine repaired. and there was no suitable rejuvanator in the local area that could be used, in desperation Andy hit the Emergency caller on his communicator calling an ambulance to the scene. All ambulances carried emergency rejuvanator that would save Johns life albeit with the consequences of the much lighter system that only used one Jonson crystal.

Within 5 minutes the wail of the ambulance hovercar arrived and the paramedics were on the scene, one of them got out the emergency rejuvanator while another started to remove the shards of crystal in Johns body, These all had to be removed before the rejuvenation to prevent them reacting with the rejuvenation itself. They loaded John onto a hovertrolly and floated him out to the waiting ambulance where the emergency rejuvanator was ready. With a whine Johns body shrunk from adult size to that of a 6 year old child.

Stay tuned for Part 2
